With a similar concept to that of the largest international design exhibitions, like Milan Design Week, Paris Design Week or Romanian Design Week, the first local fest dedicated to creative industries, Moldavian Design Week, offers the public the opportunity to take a closer look at the design, architecture and the production field, not only through displayed products and services, but also by organizing a series of interactive events.
One of the collateral events planned by the organizers of the Moldavian Design Week is the “Night of Architecture Studios”. Having the Romanian Design Week as the model, the fest aims to open the doors to those who offer durability and exceptional forms to buildings. Thanks to this event, we expect to acquaint thestudents, specialists in the field, as well as amateurs, with our favourite architecture studios by creating an informal and relaxing setting where visitors will be able to meet the teams and admire the works of the participating studios. For architects and designers that are ready to present their studio, MDW has opened the registration for specialists in this area. All those who accept the challenge to take part in the “Night of Architecture Studios”, can do that by filling in the registration form.
And while at the Paris Design Week, the showrooms and workshops open their doors at dusk, welcoming visitors at the „Afterworks” neighbourhoods, the Moldavian Design Week will create an Industrial Neighbourhood and open in mid day its doors to shops selling furniture and decorations at the Uzinelor St.. Visitors will be able to interact with experts in a casual way, and, in so doing, get to know their products.
Similar to what the organisers of the Milano Design Week have done, MDW will also set up a series of exhibitions that will bring together all the domains of creative industries, where you will be able to get familiar with the product design, graphic design, fashion design, and to admire paintings and sculptures created by local artists.
In addition to these activities, Moldavian Design Week will arrange other scenerios that will allo the public to meet both renown local experts, and young talents. We urge you to find time, and between June 4-10, visit the largest festival in the country dedicated to creative industries.
